Product Review: Gemstone CBD
I recently had the opportunity to try some CBD products from a PNW-based CBD company, Gemstone. In this post, I will be showcasing the Gemstone products I tried and sharing my product reviews.

About Gemstone
Gemstone, based in Seattle, is a company that has incorporated the health benefits of CBD into products that are well-suited to the everyday lifestyle. They believe strongly in the properties of CBD, and maintain a health and wellness focus in all that they do. Knowing that everything we ingest has an effect on our overall health, they use the highest quality, 3rd party tested, US-grown hemp to formulate all Gemstone products.
These days, when CBD regulation is not yet defined and the FDA hasn’t provided much guidance to CBD manufacturers, it’s really important that customers ensure they’re buying products that have been quality tested. As such, I was attracted to Gemstone because they are very transparent with their testing results. From their website, you can actually link out to the testing results for the products you purchase. These testing results break down the cannabinoid content for all the products offers. And, many of the test results also show results for pesticides and heavy metals.

A good rule of thumb when purchasing CBD products: ask the retailer for the COA and/or testing results for their product. If they can’t provide anything, then, well… maybe it’s time to move on to the next supplier. Something to keep in mind along your CBD journey!

Gemstone sent me two amber products to try, including the #05 Serum as well as the #09 Soothing Soak. There are nine amber products in total, and you can link to all of them here.
#05 Serum
The Serum, made with CBD, has a gorgeous floral smell - opening the bottle feels like walking through a field of flowers! This is because the oil is made with rosehips and other botanical ingredients (see list of full ingredients below).
I have been using the oil on my face in the mornings. Yesterday, I didn’t wear any perfume, but I did use the Serum in the morning. And when I took a walk with my husband, the wind blew a bit, and he said, “Wow - you smell great” and I was like, “it’s the Serum!”
I really appreciate that in one fell swoop, I’m able to take care of my skin, give my body the gift of plant medicine, and smell fresh at the same time.
I can also tell that my skin is reacting well to the Serum. It’s getting brighter and feeling smoother. And yes, it’s even helping with some of my mask acne! And this makes sense - because we have endocannabinoid receptors throughout our skin. This Serum is giving my facial endocannabinoid receptors the happy dance.
What’s inside the #05 Serum:
Organic Cold Pressed Rosehip Oil, Organic Cold Pressed Jojoba Oil, Organic Cold Pressed Argan, Vitamin E, Cannabidiol (CBD – 300mg), Lavender Essential Oil, Ylang Ylang Essential Oil, and Bergamot Essential Oil.
#09 Soothing Soak
I also tried out the Soothing Soak, which made my weekly self-care bath routine so enjoyable! This product contains CBD, goat milk, jasmine petals, orange peel, and dead sea salt. And, as you can see, Gemstone doesn’t skimp on the botanicals!
This product turned my bathtub into a citrusy, milky, plant medicine dreamscape. I want to go back there again soon :)
What’s inside the #09 Soothing Soak:
Baking Soda, Natural Sea Salt, Dead Sea Salt, Epsom Salts, Goat Milk, Jasmine Petals, Organic Orange Peel, Lactose, Sapphire Salt (Himalayan Pink Salt, CBD – 200mg), Pure Therapeutic Grade Essential Oil Blend: Jasmine, Clementine, and Rose Sulfonated Castor Oil (a natural emulsifier).
Ruby CBD Sugar
Ok, Gemstone’s Ruby CBD Sugar is really cool, and I think it will integrate well into a lot of people’s lifestyles! Why? Because it’s super easy to use, and yummy, too!
This product is pre-packaged into individual serving sizes, with 1 tbsp sugar and 25 mg of CBD. This set-up makes it really easy to consume your daily CBD dose. Just add to coffee, tea, a sweet milk, or your favorite baked good. You could even make your own simple syrup using this product.
By using this sugar, you will be allowing your body to take in the beneficial CBD cannabinoid in a novel way ;) Could it be any sweeter?
Gems Chewable Tablets
Gems are Gemstone’s chewable CBD tablets, and they come in 2-packs. Each tablet contains 12.5mg of CBD, bringing each serving to 25mg of CBD. These taste really great! For all my Millennials out there… I just gotta say, they remind me of the Flintstones chewable vitamins we took as kids. Just more grown-up… and with a little more plant medicine 🌿
After I ate the Gems, I felt calm and yet also alert and high-energy. In fact, I used Gems to fuel this blog post!
